COTSWOLD
This Liddicoat & Goldhill design is a complex stone house for a steep hillside – 4,508 sqft spread over the two floors – a home for a designer and her family. We incorporated local materials and craft techniques to carefully navigate the changes in levels through steps and slides. The material palette of the building references the historic surroundings with Cotswold stone on the principal facades, to be sourced locally and be laid by local craftsmen.
Large windows on the courtyard elevations with smaller openings on the facades visible from across the valley. Green wildflower roofs are to be cultivated to the rear of the site, merging into the landscape.
